Col. George Waller Chapter Living History Group at its 6th Consecutive Callands Fall Festival

     On Saturday, October 24, members of the Col. George Waller Living History Group participated in its 6th consecutive Callands Fall Festival.  The event is held each year on the grounds of Pittsylvania County’s colonial era courthouse (1773) and its first clerk’s office (1771).  At the encampment, members talked about Revolutionary War army life, muskets and long rifles, the militia, military camps, the British Army, colonial life, and children’s games. Children participated in colonial games and others were taught some simple military drills
