On a rainy Saturday, April 13, members of the Colonel George Waller Chapter and the General Joseph Martin Chapter-Daughters of the American Revolution participated in a living history day at the historic Yates Tavern built in 1750 and located in Grenta, Virginia. The event was sponsored by the Pittsylvania Historical Society and the Thomas Carter Chapter-DAR. The activities included blacksmithing, powder horn etching, colonial children toys, sewing & spinning, and a military encampment.
