report submitted by Col William Grayson Chapter President Mike Taimi Jeffery Ball of Prince William County’s Gainesville Middle School has been named the Colonel William Grayson Chapter of the Virginia Society of the Sons of the American Revolution Teacher of the Year winner. Mr. Ball is currently is in his eleventh year at Gainesville Middle School where he has taught American History for the past seven years. The Teacher of the Year Award recognizes outstanding Social Studies Teachers who actively address the history of the American Revolutionary in their classroom settings. Matthew McDonald of Charles J. Colgan High School in Manassas, Virginia has been named the Colonel William Grayson Chapter of the Virginia Society of the Sons of the American Revolution American History Teacher of the Year winner. Mr. McDonald is currently is in his second year at Colgan High School where he teaches 11th grade United States and Virginia history and Advanced Placement United States history. The American History Teacher Award recognizes educators who distinguish themselves in the addressing the history of the American Revolution. Mr. McDonald will be the Colonel William Grayson chapter nominee for the Virginia Society of the Sons of the American Revolution Teacher of the Year
