report by CWG President Mike Taimi 11 Nov 2017 Manassas Historic Court House, VA Seven members of CWG Chapter attended a commemoration of World War I Veterans sponsored by the Elizabeth McIntosh Hammill Chapter (EMHC), DAR. The Commemoration was held at the Historic Manassas Court House. CWG Chapter provided flags of the United States and State of Virginia and participated in Color Guard for presentation of Colors, with CWG member Barry Schwoerer acting as Color Guard Commander and carrying the Virginia State flag.
The program remembered those men who served in WWI who were family members of EMHC members. The names of Prince William County men who made the ultimate sacrifice were read and a moment of silence given for their service. CWG Chapter members attending were: William “Bill” Broadus, President Mike Taimi, Vice President Barry Schwoerer, Secretary Ken Morris, Dave Button, Sean Schwoerer, and Jacob Schwoerer
