1 Apr 2017 A.R.M.Y. at Yorktown, VA The opening of the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown is a 13-daylong event, with a day allocated to each of the 13 original states. The Grand Opening Ceremony coincided with the Virginia Day, today, April 1st. The Virginia SAR manned a table in the Grand Hallway of the museum to hand out literature and talk to those attending. 14 compatriots from 10 chapters participated. VPG Mark Brennan represented PG Mike Tomme at the dedication ceremony and 1st VP Pat Kelly led the Virginia SAR c0ntingent at our table. Chapters that participated included Colonel Fielding Lewis, Col William Grayson, Culpeper Minutemen, Dan River, Fairfax Resolutions, Fincastle Resolves, Norfolk, Richmond, Thomas Jefferson, and Williamsburg. Attending, but not pictured, Mark Brennan, Larry McKinley, Harley Stewart, Tom Whetstone, and Reverdy Wright.
