Nansemond Indian Patriots Chapter Participates in the Nansemond Pow Wow.

     Several Members of the new Nansemond Indian Patriots Chapter helped organize and conduct the 30th Annual Nansemond Indian Pow Wow.  For two days the Nansemond Nation and friends celebrated with dance and music. Each day's celebration was begun when the Eagle Staff was paraded into the arena.  The Virginia SAR Color Guard participated in this parade to honor the Nansemond Nation and their patriot ancestors who supported the American Revolution.  The Nansemond Indian Patriot Chapter compatriots were augmented by members of the Culpeper Minutemen, Thomas Jefferson, and Thomas Nelson, Jr. chapters, who marched in the color guard and manned a recruiting booth for the SAR.
