29 May 2017 Brookneal, VA report by Colonel William Grayson Chapter President Mike Taimi ![]() On May 29, 2017, The Colonel William Grayson Chapter initiated and planned for presentation and retirement of Colors, presentation of a wreath and delivery of comments commemorating the 281st birthday of Patrick Henry at his tomb at Red Hill Plantation. A Virginian, Patrick Henry is remembered for his "Give me liberty, or give me death!" speech, and served as the first Governor of Virginia, from 1776 to 1779. The Patrick Henry National Memorial is located at 1250 Red Hill Road, Brookneal, Virginia. Colonel William Grayson Chapter was represented by Chapter Vice President, Barry Schwoerer. Three members of the Elizabeth McIntosh Hammill Chapter of DAR also attended as well three staff members of the Patrick Henry Memorial, one Graduate American History Student from UVA, and three members of the public visiting the Memorial.

In the past, buying and choosing flowers can be a challenging task. Flowers are only available in flower shops (which is rare in certain area), and sometimes it is available in the major supermarkets. Now things have changed significantly, the demand of flowers has since increased tremendously. Internet has been widely used by florists as a medium to reach out to more customers, easily and quickly. The existence of websites selling flowers online has revolutionized the way people buy flowers.

Some time it really makes me feel that he has been among us like old times he has been there for everyone. This article had reminded me about the wonderful deeds that he had ever done.
