After a family style lunch of meatloaf, mashed potatoes, various vegetables, and apple cobbler, Virginia SAR President Ed Truslow delivered the keynote address.  President Truslow talked about the men who lost America, our British opponents.  He gave a brief description of each, their qualifications, and their impact on the American Revolution.
By the time we left the earlier rain was gone, the sun was out, and it was definitely spring-time in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

It must be difficult to hold an event for men in uniform. If that would have to be me in charge, I think I am going to pee in my pants. I think these are the most powerful people in the world. If they don't like you all they had to do is plant some evidence that is enough to get you in jail. They knew the law well and we are all bound by its technicality. I guess this amount of power should really be given to people who deserve it and will not be blinded by what they are allowed to do to anyone. If they are good people then we are in good hands.
