I am indebted to my committee, George, Bill, and Marbury, to VASSAR leadership Wayne Rouse and Dr. Reverdy Wright, and to NSSAR leadership Tom Adams and Mark Anthony for their advise and support. The immediate priority is the poster and brochure contests. Please read the attachment for the details for due dates for posters and brochures.
Charlie Coale 1015 Highland Circle, Blacksburg, VA 24060, coale@vt.edu PROGRAM OF WORK FOR AMERICANISM COMMITTEE The VASSAR Americanism Committee is responsible for four objectives: Objective One – Poster Contest rules - click here for link Objective Two – Brochure Contest rules - click here for link UPDATE: Poster and Brochure winners are due to the Virginia SAR Secretary by December 31st, so be sure to submit your chapter winners to Compatriot Coale in time for him to notify the Virginia SAR Secretary. The VASSAR Americanism Committee will judge the poster and brochure contests, and complete the judging by (01/20/2016). VASSAR Secretary Wayne Rouse needs the first place selections by February 1, 2016 for making the winner’s certificate and providing other VASSAR support. An original copy and a scanned copy of both contests should be forwarded to coale@vt.edu and mailed to Charlie at the address listed above. Objective Three - focuses the Americanism Report for NSSAR. VASSAR Americanism committee can select up to three chapter reports forwarding NSSAR. The chapter reports are due on, Tuesday, March 1, 2016. Please forward your Americanism chapter report to Charlie Coale via email, coale@vt.edu. Objective Four - merge the VASSAR Chapter Report and NSSAR Americanism Reports into a common format for reporting for VASSAR and NSSAR. This assignment has been delegated to the Americanism committee by VASSAR President, Dr. Reverdy Wright. The committee will decide on the merger path. A common data base will improve the efficiency for completing both reports. This report is due to Wayne Rouse by Thursday, September 15, 2016. Any and all recommendations are welcomed by this committee.
