On 30 November, the Fairfax Resolves Chapter presented to the War Service Medal with two campaign bars to Compatriot Sean Cook. Sean served in the U.S. Army as a Switching Systems Operator in Korea between 10 January 2003 to 15 March 2004. He was called up from the Inactive Reserve to serve in Iraq from 27 August 2006 to 16 August 2007. Immediately following the award of the War Service Medal, the Fairfax Resolves Chapter presented the Martha Washington Medal to Sean’s wife, Wendy. Her efforts resulted in the Fairfax Resolves and Colonel James Wood II Chapters being invited to present Flag History Programs to eight fourth grade classes at the W.W. Robinson Elementary School in Woodstock. The medal presentations took place immediately after the school programs and was attended by Dale Corey and Marc Robinson of the Colonel James Wood II Chapter.
