Dr. Willliam Kelso spoke to the Williamsburg Chapter during a meeting at the Colonial Heritage Club on November 13. His topic was “Jamestown Remains to Be Seen.” In 1993 Dr. Kelso came to APVA/Preservation Virginia’s Jamestown as chief archeologist. He currently serves as Director of Research and Interpretation for the Jamestown Rediscovery project of APVA. Dr. Kelso received the J.C. Harrington Award for his lifetime contributions to archeology in 2007 and was made an Honorary Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth II in 2012.
