Wayne and I were inducted into the Col Fielding Lewis Chapter during the same ceremony. He served as my Vice President and succeeded me as president of the chapter. He and his wife Wink graciously hosted my family at their timeshare in Williamsburg when the National Congress held there. As we all know, Wayne made the SAR his life's work in his retirement and his contributions will live on for years to come.

On behalf of the Colonel William Grayson Chapter, I wish to express our sadness at Compatriot Wayne's passing, and extend our warm condolences to the Rouse family. I, too, appreciated the opportunity to work with Wayne over the past few months as I transitioned into the role of President. God's speed, you are greatly missed.

Anita and I wish to express our sadness at Wayne's passing, and extend our condolences to the Rouse family. Wayne was a devoted Compatriot to our Virginia SAR and I very much appreciated the opportunity to work with him over the last year on the successful recharter of the Sgt Maj John Champe Chapter in Loudoun County. He will be greatly missed.

Wayne was dedicated to making things happen in SAR. His commitment to seeing the Patrick Henry Chapter reborn and flourishing will always be remembered and we are grateful. May he rest in peace with our Lord.
