Fairfax Resolves Chapter Honors President David L. Peters with SAR Law Enforcement Commendation Medal
FAIRFAX, Va. — November 16, 2025—The Fairfax Resolves Chapter of the Virginia Society, Sons of the American Revolution (SAR), proudly presented the SAR Law Enforcement Commendation Certificate and Medal to Chapter President David L. Peters during the chapter’s November luncheon. The award was conferred in recognition of his distinguished career in federal law enforcement and his enduring commitment to public service.
The presentation was made by Chapter Past President, the Hon. Jon Rymer, who read the official citation and bestowed the certificate and medal before chapter members and guests. The ceremony underscored SAR’s mission to honor individuals who exemplify courage, integrity, and dedication in safeguarding the nation.
President Peters' career reflects more than four decades of service in federal law enforcement following his earlier military service as an Army officer. He is widely recognized as a subject matter expert in trans-national organized crime, counterterrorism, mass atrocity homicide investigations, and cold case homicides, having served at all levels in these critical areas. His professional achievements include graduation from the FBI National Executive Institute and the Harvard University Senior Executive Program in Domestic and International Security.
“President Peters, after military service as an Army Officer, is recognized for over 40 years in federal law enforcement and is a recognized subject matter expert in transnational organized crime, counterterrorism, mass atrocity homicide investigations and cold case homicides and has served at all levels in these areas. He is a graduate of the FBI National Executive Institute and the Harvard University Senior Executive Program in Domestic and International Security,” the citation read.
The SAR Law Enforcement Commendation Medal is awarded to those who have distinguished themselves through exceptional service in the field of law enforcement. By honoring President Peters, the Fairfax Resolves Chapter highlights the enduring connection between the values of America’s founding patriots and the modern guardians of liberty who protect and serve today.
