The South Boston Tea Party is slated to be an evening of hearing the stories of several important Virginians. Each of the highlighted figures will have their story told and explained with hopes to reveal some of the lesser told, yet very important, contributions towards winning the Revolutionary War. Also, Mr. Patrick Henry Jolly, the 5th great-grandson of Governor Patrick Henry will be on hand to give the famous "Give Me Liberty, or Give Me Death" speech. All attending are encourage to get in the spirit by attending in colonial dress. The South Boston Tea Party will also have dancers performing popular moves from colonial times. And finally, there will be samplings of colonial era foods and of course, TEA. This event will be free to the public and is sponsored by the South Boston - Halifax County Museum and the Red Hill / Patrick Henry National Memorial.
