Details:  On August 12, 1776, the Declaration of Independence was read from Leesburg's original court building doorway. The SMJC Chapter will re-enact the reading near the old Courthouse steps, near the SPIRIT OF LOUDOUN Revolutionary War Memorial. SAR, DAR Chapters, CAR Societies, and other Patriotic/Revolutionary focused societies are invited to present wreaths and bring their flags to help honor a pivotal document in the history of the United States.
