Media InquiriesAccidents–Incidents. The Virginia SAR has adopted an Accident-Incident Response Plan. Any incident or accident occurring during an SAR-sponsored event, or a non-SAR event with Virginia SAR member participation, must be reported in a timely manner to your respective Chapter leadership. In addition, the Virginia SAR Color Guard Commander, Virginia SAR Risk Manager, and the Virginia SAR Media Team must be notified. Any requests by an external media representative for SAR accident information shall immediately be referred to the Virginia SAR Media Liaison Team:
