The Williamsburg Chapter, Virginia Society and the Charles City County 250 committee are hosting a commemoration of the Battle of Charles City County known as the Westfields Skirmish of Jan 8^th . This is to commemorate the skirmish between the Charles City Militia and the forces of Benedict Arnold. This event will focus on the involvement of former and enslaved members of the Virginia Militia.
