Come join the Colonel William Grayson Chapter as they celebrate and commemorate the life of the Chapter namesake at his tomb. Colonel William Grayson was an ardent patriot who first formed the Prince William Cadets, the first Revolutionary militia in the county. After the fighting began, Grayson became an aide-de-camp to General George Washington and later formed his own independent Continental Regiment, Grayson's Additional Regiment. Following the war, he served in the Continental Congress, was part of the ratifying convention of the Constitution in Virginia and was elected one of the first senators for the state.
