Patriot grave marking ceremony for Captain James McIlhany and Captain William Harwar Parker

The Sgt Maj John Champe and Williamsburg Chapters will sponsor a two Patriot grave marking on Sunday 21 May at 2:00pm.  Patriot Captain William Parker served in the Virginia Navy. Patriot Captain James McIlhaney served in the Continental Line.  We will have a special treat with the Reverend John Marks Society member MacPhearson Strassberg playing bagpipes to honor both Patriots.  Directions and parking instructions are in the attached flyer.  Please email intentions to present a wreath, bring and carry your flag.  This is a firing event with VASSAR musket certification required.   It is a 5-10 minute walk from parking to the cemetery so please allow ample time.  Let me know if you need assistance getting to the site.  I have a 4 wheel drive pickup and can shuttle those in need.

STRONGLY SUGGEST you bring folding chairs and bug spray!
