248th Commemoration of Loudoun Resolves

Details:  The event will be held on the Courthouse lawn at the Spirit of Loudoun Revolutionary War Memorial. 

On June 14, 1774, Freeholders of Loudoun County signed the Loudoun Resolves, a protest against Great Britain's "most oppressive and tyrannical Act of the British Parliament, made in the 14th year of his present Majesty's reign". This was a. prelude to the Declaration of Independence and one of many Resolutions by Counties and Colonies protesting acts of Parliament. We will summarize the various Resolves and read the Loudoun Resolves near the Old Courthouse steps.

Parking is available at a nearby parking garage. There is limited street parking.
