Welcome to the 136th Virginia SAR Annual Meeting!Greetings, Patriots! Get ready for a memorable experience at the 2026 Virginia SAR Annual Meeting! The Richmond and Colonel William Grayson Chapters are excited to welcome members of the Sons of the American Revolution and their guests for our 136th return gathering to the picturesque Virginia Crossings Hotel and Conference Center in Glen Allen, Virginia.
Our Annual Meeting begins on Friday, February 6th, with a lineup of engaging and festive activities, including our traditional Scrapbook Contest and the vibrant Virginia SAR Color Guard Drumhead Muster event. The Ladies Program will offer a fun Game Night with exciting prizes, and the evening will close with my President's Reception. On Saturday, February 7th, the day will be filled with our Society business starting with our General Membership Meeting. We will then witness the eloquence of the Rumbaugh Orations Contest and honor our young achievers at the Youth Awards ceremony. A heartfelt Memorial Service will take place at The Virginia Crossings followed with the announcement and celebration of our Public Service Awardees and the Virginia SAR 2025 Chapter Winners. The event will conclude with a commemorative group photo on the portico steps of the Jefferson Building weather permitting. Saturday evening concludes our weekend with the Black-Tie Banquet Dinner that will include our Color Guard Commander Change of Command and the installation of our new President with his State Officers by our very own President General Michael J. Elston, Esq. We will then close our time together with the new 106th President's Reception.
